Application:

Vented Chest seals should be used when an open chest injury occurs. Chest seals work by closing the chest wall opening to keep collapsed lungs inflated.Vented design prevents airflow into the chest cavity during inspiration while allowing air to escape through the vent channels during exhalation.

Instruction of use:

1. Clean and dry wound

2. Remove protective liner from adhesive coated surface

3. Place it on patient's wound, adhesive side down (seal the wound at the end of exhalation)

4. Press it firmly to skin to assure an occlusive seal
